How much does it cost?
Barrel Club membership costs 252 euros per person per barrel, and this includes:
- A new 4-liter American oak barrel
- 4 liters of new make whiskey at 45% ABV
- 5 x 70cl bottles along with labels and corks.
- All excise duties and VAT are required by the authorities.
- Support during the time of aging.
How does it work?
You become the owner of a brand-new American medium charred oak barrel (4-liter) of whiskey with the help and guidance of Aristides Distilling’s master distiller. The owners become automatically members of our barrel club and receive access to refills and other benefits. You can keep your barrel at home or leave it at the distillery. Experience firsthand the aging process and understand how aging affects your whiskey in the comfort of your home.
How long does this aging process take?
The official aging duration of Whiskey under European law is 3 years but because of the size of these barrels and the climate in Cyprus, you can expect to have a great-tasting whiskey much sooner. Due to the higher surface area ratio of a small barrel, spirits will extract the barrel’s characteristics faster than a standard-size barrel. The barrels can be refilled with another new make spirit once the original spirit has matured/aged to your liking! More importantly, you gain the experience of understanding how aging in a barrel affects your favorite spirit!
